"Pink: it was love at first sight"

This spring summer season the pink colour must find a place in women’s wardorobe. It has been proposed in every shade. From bold and vibrant pink, which can have the same sensuality of red without being too aggressive and reminds us Barbie’s world, bubble gum and candies, to powder and softer pink, usually associated with tenderness and romanticism.

Then, when meeting the salmon nuance, the powder pink transforms itself in what the Pantone’s Spring Summer 2017 Color Report has called “Pale Dogwood”, a delicate and rifined colour with a drop of gold inside, very sophisticated, which transmits purity and innocence, perfect to mix with silver, platinum and ivory tones.

Repetto is a true institution in the fashion industry and in the dance world and it is renowned for its unique process of fabrication: the “stitch and return”. Mosaert is an independent creative label based in Brussels whose main activities are focused on the music industry, the audio-visual sector and the clothing industry.  It proposes a unisex wardrobe with joyful colours and graphic prints. The collaboration between both companies was born from the desire to offer a full outfit to the consumers by combining their specific skills: footwear an textile. The result:  two pairs of shoes, unique and unisex, to complete Mosaert’s collection made of a t-shirt, a bomber, a knitted jogging pants and socks. As a reminder of the dance world, the collection patterns illustrate pink flamingos on pointe surrounded by greenery.

Flamingos surprise

The town of Milan hides lots of surprise. Just behind the traffic and caos of Corso Venezia, there is a peaceful area full of liberty buildings which deserves a walk. And in Via Cappuccini 3, through the gates of Villa Invernizzi, you can discover some unexpected flamingos wandering around the garden of the villa and the swimming pool specially built for them. They were imported from Africa and Chile by the owner of the Villa, Romeo Invernizzi, founder of the homonymous dairy firm. These flamingos have been living this place since 1970, they have perfectly adapted and don't wish to fly away.

Inspiring Pink

The SS17’s catwalks saw the pink colour worn in every shade, from fuchsia to rose via peach. Both interiors and fashion designers put the pink colour at centre of their aesthetic.
